Best Fish n Chips

The race is on for who can claim the best fish n chips in the greater Seattle area. Currently Gus claims "The Sloop" is at the top(a bar in Ballard near the locks), where as I'm preferential to the West Seattle/downtown ferry shuttle terminal near Salty's on Alki which was initially recommended to me by a scuba diving instructor. We recently tried a hole in the wall up here in Everett and won't be going back. Scuttlebutt brewery was decent, but lacked a long lasting crave worthy impression. Ray's Boathouse...good, but not worth the trouble of waiting or fighting for a bar seat. If the beer that goes with the meal tips the scales then The Sloop wins because they serve all beers on tap in 36 oz frosty mugs. Yeaaaaa Ballard.

I Do What I Want

What's up with significant others who try to ration the amount of Ben & Jerry's I eat? I spent an hour on the phone with the IRS tonight and got transfered to three different people and the only way to feel better about that phone call was to eat 1/2pint of New York Super Fudge Chunk. Period. I never realized how ridiculous our tax system truly is until trying to set up a *simple* payroll system. BAH.
